Product Notes | Veil Mesh L/S Tee

Everyone has different challenges they want to solve during their activities, but for the "Veil Mesh L/S Tee," the focus is on a strong concern for "attire."

The photos are taken from our latest lookbook and feature mountain stream fishing, but the scenes where attire feels most concerning are likely "running" and "long-distance trail running."

While "UL" (Ultralight) optimization is prominent everywhere these days, the competition in running has always started with choosing the lightest possible clothing, and I believe long-distance trail running is a genre that has gained recognition alongside the context of UL.

So, is the Veil Mesh L/S Tee a garment "for" the sake of UL? Half of that is true, but the other half is not.

More accurately, it is a garment that focuses on the slight discomfort that arises "due to" UL optimization.

This is such a minor thing that it can hardly be called a good or bad point, or even a problem, but I feel that more and more people are wearing "sleeveless clothing" like tank tops when running or doing long-distance trails.

There is nothing wrong with that in itself, and it is a category we at nonsense. also want to develop, but I suspect that those "inside" the UL culture and those "outside" of it perceive such attire differently.

Few people would feel uncomfortable seeing someone actually running or hiking with a backpack, but if they were to enter public facilities like convenience stores, hot springs, or lodging on their way, how would those around them feel?

The answer to this question certainly depends on the individual, but regardless, people after an activity are generally drenched in sweat (or just finished). I think it might be better to avoid wandering around town in such revealing clothing.

That is why we focused on a lightweight mesh material, primarily used for sports bibs and the like.

We chose the finest mesh possible and designed it with a loose fit to prevent it from sticking to the skin.

Beyond being worn as activewear, the mesh material packs down quite compactly, so our intention is for you to tuck it into your backpack or a pocket in your running shorts.

Then, when transitioning from your activity back into town, you can quickly pull it out and put it on.

We want you to enjoy your activities as a gentleman, with a little bit of consideration for those around you.

Of course, we have also made it so that it can be used as activewear.

We envisioned it being worn for activities like mountain stream fishing, low-mountain hiking, and gardening—situations where you want to protect your skin from insects or brush, or when you need coverage from the sun but still want airflow.

For this reason, we included thumbholes at the cuffs.

We positioned them at an exquisite distance from the cuffs to cover as much skin as possible without being cumbersome.

The sleeves are made slightly longer so that they do not feel restrictive when using the thumbholes.

The temperature will be dropping little by little from here on out, but we designed it to be layered as either an inner or outer layer.

And, of course, because we at nonsense. want you to use it in the city as well, we kept the design simple, without any unnecessary details, so that it fits seamlessly into your daily styling.
